Oceania Cruises’ superb, 5-star menus are crafted under the meticulous, watchful eye of Executive Culinary Director, world-renowned master chef Jacques Pépin. The resulting epicurean delights, all carefully prepared with only the finest, freshest ingredients, surpass every expectation. Roasted Quail stuffed with Black Truffle Mousseline. Perfectly grilled Ahi Tuna garnished with Tomato Chutney. A hearty Black Angus Sirloin Steak Provençale. These are but a taste of Oceania Cruises extensive culinary creations.
To complement their gastronomic masterpieces, Oceania Cruises wine cellars hold a vast collection of vintages from around the world that even the most discerning oenophiles will appreciate. It’s no surprise that dinner is always a highly anticipated occasion, an event that stirs the emotions and tantalizes the palate.
Oceania Cruises open-seating policy allows you the freedom to dine when, where and with whom you wish. In the evening, you may dine at any of four exquisite restaurants, each one unique and radiating its own special ambiance.
GRAND DINING ROOM
Topped with a dramatic, domed ceiling that is adorned with a hand-painted fresco, the Grand Dining Room is reminiscent of a classic European, 5-star hotel restaurant. The tuxedo-clad wait staff serves six courses of American-inspired Continental cuisine atop elegantly appointed tables set with Villeroy & Boch China and European crystal. To complement your dining experience, soothing melodies from a classical string quartet or concert pianist tempt you to take a spin around the dance floor.
POLO GRILL
The finest cuts of dry-aged prime beef, chops and fresh seafood are the signature items of Polo Grill. Seating just 96 guests, this classic steakhouse features floor-to-ceiling windows affording views of passing seascapes and is warmly decorated with dark woods and elegant furnishings.
TOSCANA
Enjoy the romantic, whimsical ambiance of this intimate, 90-seat restaurant that captures the flair and essence of Tuscany. The savory gourmet cuisine reflects the very best of Italy in dishes representative of its many regions. Nearly every table is adjacent to floor-to-ceiling windows for soaring views of sea and sky.
TERRACE CAFE
It’s hard to resist the sumptuous, ever changing breakfast and lunch buffets in this light-filled, informal buffet restaurant. You may dine indoors or outdoors since the Café opens onto both the teak-lined pool deck or aft onto the Terrace, where the tantalizing sea breeze is sure to stir your appetite.
TAPAS ON THE TERRACE
Each evening, the alfresco dining area of the Terrace Cafe becomes Tapas on the Terrace with a sumptuous buffet. Here you will enjoy dining under the stars, specialty cocktails and a menu of authentic tapas, paellas and other flavorful regional specialties from Spain and the surrounding Mediterranean. The buffet allows Guests a bountiful selection of traditional favorites including carefully prepared entrees, salads, soups, and a carvery with tantalizing desserts to finish. They strive to provide a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience, one that encourages you to lose yourself in the splendor of the passing scenery and good company of your fellow shipmates.
WAVES
For the ultimate in casual poolside dining, try Waves. Serving a mouthwatering array of hand-tossed pizzas, grilled specialties, traditional barbecue fare plus salads & sandwiches, it’s sure to be one of your favorite lunch spots.
WHAT TO WEAR
Recommended onboard clothing is resort or country club casual (smart casual). For evening dining, elegant casual resort wear is suggested. It is requested that jeans, shorts, t-shirts or tennis shoes not be worn at dinner.
What is the policy regarding gratuities?
For your convenience, a suggested gratuity in recognition of outstanding personal service will be automatically added to your onboard account for your stateroom attendant and all restaurant staff. All dining room staff gratuities are combined in a pool due to the fact that the ships offer multiple open-seating dining venues and you will likely be served by many different staff members during the course of your stay onboard.
An 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage purchases.
Guests occupying a Penthouse, Vista or Owner’s Suite will have an additional gratuity per Guest, per day added in recognition of outstanding Butler Service.
Children
On all Oceania Cruises, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult over the age of 25. Oceania Cruises do not provide services for the care, entertainment or supervision of children and they reserve the right to limit the number of children on board under the age of 18 years.
