Cruise Description

8 Night Cruise sailing from Lautoka to Noumea aboard Wind Spirit.

Start your journey through Melanesia in lovely Lautoka, Fiji with a visit to Nadi Temple or the South Sea Orchid Garden followed by a relaxing mud pool bath before diving into the crystal clear waters of Yasawa-I-Rara Island. Upon arriving in Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, sink your teeth into fresh seasonal fruit at Mama’s Market, feel the mist of Mele Cascades waterfall, hit beautiful Jade Beach, or hop on the boat to Tranquility Island to visit the Hawksbill Turtle Sanctuary. Excitement erupts on the approach to Tanna, where Mount Yasur erupts daily, wild horses roam free, and untouched underwater caves await. The adventure continues at Lifou’s Jokin Cliffs and Jinek Beach in New Caledonia. This fossilized coral atoll is the center of traditional Melanesian culture. “The Closest Island to Paradise,” Ile de Pins, was once a penal colony and is now appreciated by all for it’s turquoise waters full of colorful coral, white-sand beaches, and tall native pine trees. Alas the journey concludes in Noumea, the World War II headquarters for the U.S. military in the South Pacific. The capital of New Caledonia, Noumea offers magnificent beaches and incredible views from its string of beautiful bays.

Take a boat to Tranquility Island to see the Hawksbill Turtle Sanctuary there. Or head to Mele Cascades, a multi-tiered waterfall with lovely rock pools or Jade Beach with excellent swimming and snorkeling.

Mare

Shabadran boasts rugged terrain and Pede Beach is hailed as one of the most beautiful beaches I the world. And there is Tadine, a natural aquarium with its wide array of multi-colored fish, making it a snorkeler’s delight. In addition to the beaches the landscapes of the island offer steep cliffs, dense, wild forests, and delightful little coves on the ground of superimposed coral layers that reach down almost 427 feet (130 meters).
